In the last few years, the NRENs have engaged in rolling out a number of capital projects. The AfricaConnect3 has built on its two predecessors to increase its project portfolio whose implementations require following correct methodologies to ensure return on investment for the NRENs. There is also need to embed quality assurance, stakeholder management, and monitoring and evaluation among other known project management principles. The gist of the workshop is, therefore, to introduce the NREN community to the emerging project management methodologies and best practices to ensure correct use of resources and meeting of the project’s objectives.
