Call for Abstracts and Panel Session Proposals

Introduction

UbuntuNet Alliance invites prospective authors to submit abstracts and panel session proposals for the UbuntuNet-Connect 2022 Conference. Collaboratively, authored contributions are encouraged and welcome. Submitted papers and panel proposals should preferably address the broad topics below. However, abstracts on topics that are interesting and relevant to research and education networking may be considered.

Broad Topics

  1. Digital technologies (for teaching, learning, assessment, research,
    administration)
  2. Connectivity Digital resources/libraries, content and quality assurance
  3. Devices and infrastructure (hardware, software, IaaS, SaaS, cloud services)
  4. Institutional collaboration leveraging on Research and Education Networks e.g access to X(=connectivity, devices, content)
  5. Supportive policy and regulatory frameworks

Call for Abstracts for Paper Presentations
We invite potential presenters to submit abstracts (500-600 words) covering any of the topics listed above and under the general conference theme. The submission, uploaded as a single pdf file, must include:
• Concise, descriptive title
• Authors names and affiliations
• Abstract of proposed presentation (500-600 words)
• Key words (maximum 3)
• Target audience (from the list above – can be more than one group)
Deadline: July 31, 2022. Notification of outcome shall by August 31, 2022.

Call for Panel Session Proposals
We welcome proposals for panel sessions covering any of the topics listed above and under the general conference theme. The proposals, uploaded as a single pdf file, must include:
• Concise, descriptive title
• Presenters names and affiliations
• Abstract of proposed panel session (500-600 words)
• Key words (maximum 3)
• Target audience (from the list above – can be more than one group)
Deadline: July 31, 2022. Notification of outcome shall by August 31, 2022.

All abstracts will be double-blind-peer-reviewed by an international panel. Successful authors will be asked to prepare full papers, which the Alliance will publish in the Proceedings of UbuntuNet-Connect 2022. Abstracts may also be submitted online via uc2022@ubuntunet.net not later than Sunday 31st July 2022.
